A Dazzling Event That Rattled the World
From: The Servant - December 2008 By: Pastor Joe Wingo
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!"
That is what a multitude of angels blasted through the heavenlies as they burst on the scene and lit up the night sky with God’s dazzling glory. God had been planning the coming of the Savior for ages, and He meant for Jesus’ birth announcement to be unmistakable. For those who witnessed it, there was no doubt that Jesus would rattle the world.

The Rock
From: The Servant - December By: Pastor Wes Wingo
"For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?" (Psalm 18:31). The illustration in this verse of Psalm 18 tells us that God is like a rock. God is like a rock in that He is the solid place on which our faith stands. He is also our refuge—our safe place.

"If I could work my will, every idiot who goes about with 'Merry Christmas' on his lips, should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart!" he said.

An Umbrella of Hope
From: The Servant - December 2008 By: Gena Maselli
Robert* loaded the box of Angel Food into the businessman’s car. "Is there anything you would like for me to pray with you about?" he asked. An ex-gang member and former drug addict, Robert didn’t look like a stereotypical minister. "I really feel that I need to pray for you."
